Record Agro-Exports: Argentina Feeds the World Again

The breadbasket of the world is officially back online. Official data released by the Secretariat of Agriculture confirms that Argentina’s agro-industrial complex has achieved historic results, signaling a fundamental shift in the country’s productive capacity.

In November 2025 alone, the sector exported 10.09 million tons, generating $4.715 billion USD. This represents a staggering 36% year-on-year increase in volume and a 25% jump in value.

The “Wheat” Comeback

The recovery was broad-based, with 25 different sectors showing growth, but the star of the show was undoubtedly the wheat complex:

  • Wheat exports exploded by 133%, reaching 1.38 million tons.
  • Barley followed with a 110% increase.
  • Forestry products surged by 91%.

This data validates the administration’s strategy of deregulation and the removal of export quotas that had previously strangled production.

Diversification and New Markets

Perhaps the most bullish signal for long-term investors is the diversification of the export matrix. In 2025, Argentina successfully exported 26 products that had not recorded external sales for years.

“The 95% of exports were concentrated in key complexes like soy, corn, and wheat, reaching over 100 international destinations including China, Vietnam, and India.”

Investor Takeaway

The inflow of hard currency from the harvest is stronger than anticipated. This provides the Central Bank with the necessary liquidity to maintain the crawling peg and further stabilize the Peso. Expect agricultural machinery stocks and logistics companies to outperform in Q1 2026.
